When i saw a different light of my mother

Always I thought I was strong but I realized that I wasn’t as strong as I thought I was afterall, at certain times, I have my weak moments too, and in my moments of weakness, I break down awfully.

in those moments, I shut my mind my brains and I switched off. Unknowingly.
Just like today, with a lost mind, then when I turned beside, my mother was there.

Pulling me like a leash tied to my neck guiding me, directing me.
That’s when it dawn to me, my mother can be strong at times too.

Gathering for May Day at our Housy

Before the may labour day approach, the guys were arranging for a drinking session night together, seemed a long while since they did.
So the night set at our housy with ThiRak’s cooking the dinner and Topshell and Lala for bites.
I came home late that night after work, but managed to dig in dinner.
But i was very very tired.

We been too busy at work that

its been busy

for the last 2 months, i think MOST of the nights i go back after work is in darkest and in the taxi. Soon i might have forgotten my walk to the train station from my office place. tsk tsk.

With my ThiRak darling and my parents all full from their dinner, then keeping a little bit for me. Of course, by the time i reached home, i'm all exhausted to be eating already, so most of the time, i didnt eat much.

And at times, like yesterday, i was working late and THIRAK Darling AK worked pretty late too, so i managed to join them for the dinner meal the moment they finished.

so i'm welcoming my time to bloggie and changing the current background,. hoping wishing for it soon to come. i might liked to do it tonight.

also by late, we been so engorsed in the channel 79 CI........

Daddy's Godson and Mummy's Goddaughter came to Pai-Nien so Thirak AK dished out a dinner for all with Tall Ben and Uncle Heng together.

I’m Feeling: Late Photos

The virus that attacked my Daddy

When shingles came upon our lives few weeks ago, attacking Daddy’s side tummy, it took a little toll on us for a while.

When the 1st day Daddy thought it was rashes but painfully painful instead, I took a rash cream to appy for him which didn’t help and the next day, you could literally see the rash spread in a semi-circle quickly.

Daddy went to the company’s clinic (clinic that do not have regular doctors on duty) and it was shingles alright, SNAKE we called it. In total Daddy took abt 2-3 weeks medical leave.

back to That night, we were quite worried, we brought him to bishan sinseh to catch the head and burn the snake to death!!! Gagaga!

The sinseh was also shocked to see that the rashes (snake) has grown into a large snake.

Nevertheless the treatment helps after several visits including acupunture and today he is well recovering.
Because its shingles, it attacks his nerves inside during when it was alive and till today, he is feeling the pain right inside which the doctors said it would take a few months or years even for the pain inside to subside completely.

And also I learnt that shingles is the virus from chickenpox that didn’t explode in the chicken pox DAYS and stayed dormant in your body and one fine day decides to erupt which causes rashes SHINGLES!

Shingles:-

Shingles is a skin rash caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox. This virus is called the Varicella zoster virus (VZV) and is in the Herpes family of viruses. After an individual has chickenpox, this virus lives in the nervous system and is never fully cleared from the body. Under certain circumstances, such as emotional stress, immune deficiency, low immune system or with cancer, the virus reactivates and causes shingles. In most cases of shingles, however, a cause for the reactivation of the virus is never found. Anyone who has ever had chickenpox is at risk for the development of shingles, although it occurs most commonly in people over the age of 60. It has been estimated that up to 1,000,000 cases of shingles occur each year in the U.

my Daddy's gift to me

I had a present from Daddy when he picked me from work and presented me, during our journey back home yesterday.

He grabbed from his pocket and passed directly to me.

"NAH!"

"OOH! its that watch!"

The watch that I just casually thought I wanted a long while ago, but didn’t expect to have it anyway, but he passed on to me in the car just so surprisingly..

I was then speachless. Maybe had a tear or 2 i think...

I don’t go for watches so when Daddy bought me my first watch years back, I treasured it very much and didn’t intend to have more than the one treasured one.
And i have been holding on to it for years and years everyday every second and minute of my time.

So it became 2 watches from the Daddy now and I intend to just stick to that because as it says :

好朋友,一两个,就好。

To me one or two watches is enough, especially from my parents, I can wear it everyday and be reminded of their love for me….EVERYDAY!

I’m Feeling: no words can say how i felt in the car....

F1 & the worries at home...

Its over finally.

Our singapore office underwriting were undergoing some furthur training to our knowledge from very nice 2 ladies from New York.
Very helpful and cheery ladies and compassionate at least.

+ last evening the EARTHQUAKE shook the building we were in and at first i thought was me feeling giddy but no, it SHOOK the building, the indonesia quake.
And so we headed home at 630pm.

Then this morning, we FELT THE ANOTHER QUAKE from nearby of yesterdays' QUAKE in Indonesia. It was milder than yesterday but the quake was not a good one in Indonesia..
STILL we thought the better of running down... tsk tsk

So since after the crash human traffic in town area recently because of the F1, we had a day to work from home right before the F1 started, on Friday.

Which was thankfully not the PEAK period so we didn’t have much to work from home any how, at least for me, the assistant.

I brought home a few days before the F1 race a stack of betting slips from Singapore Pool and just before we proceed to the counter to place our bets, thiRak AK & I were thinking in the room, randomly picking something to bet on, just to make our watching the F1 a more interesting and anxious one.

So he picked

1. HAMILTON the winner

2. McLaren-Mercedes as the team winner.

2 bets

And

We hit the bull’s eye. Very interestingly, just that the odds was terribly little, still, it was interesting to watch when you had a bet on hand.
So we managed just to recover our cost.


Daddy was having a hard time these past weeks with his new found sickness that came rather suddenly. So bad he didn’t attend work for at least 2 weeks till this week, and he came home every other noon time as he was still in bad pain.

So I was quite worried too , his age is catching up, and we tried the western and sinseh, still his pain is bothering him so much, at times, I believe he might have felt so frustrated.

I hoped he recovered very quickly soon, we would pray.



I’m Feeling: MUST be cheerful recovers faster

Last night, almost to the midnight my daddy was craving badly for

Roti Prata.

Actually he was craving for a few days already.
So we left half an hour to midnight to Thomson for his Rota Prata.
Me darling AK Mummy and Daddy.

10 mins to 12am, the Rota Prata at Thomson was closing and left only Pratass…

" we close at 12am, and only have pratas.."

Can we rushed in 10 mins.
No
So

We proceed to furthur up , Casuarina for the famous Prata.

Wow so many carparks available, we were happy and after parking, walked towards the stall.

They were packing the outside seats ready for closing.

Err,, not 24 hours meh. maybe not!

So, after thinking for more pratas place (other than the Jalan Kayu- last option), we drove to Yishun 418 for the 24 hours prata.

Just as we were about to park at the multi storey car park , gosh, 2 CAR PARK attendants were making their ROUNDS really and happily hoping TO SUMMON THE CARS WITH FINE TICKETS !

its past midnight, there’s no way to tear the hourly coupon and
We didn’t have the midnight coupon as well.

So we HAD to drIVE off making ourselves nearer to 417 where lots of cars parked for their quickie bite. got lot! WE Get to park and ...

And daddy get to eat his Prata, not fantastic but it was alright quite nice though.
We all had our pratas, finally.

I’m Feeling: finally got our food

My Family is all getting old and sickly

Dont ask me what to say recently, caused its not easy to say.


My Parents have been ill recently, with especially the H1N1 virus spreading very not rapidly, the last week, my Dady went for his follower-up-check up at the hospital for his Eye cataract operated eyes. It was recovering well ..

But the night he developed a flu and cough which irritates him so badly. He seen the doctor but the cough persisted. Then my mother fell ill to the flu bug. Her voice was unbearably like a not-man-not-woman voice.
Still, this coming week, they sounds like they recovering slowly as well with the rest they took ....

Then the Benji which we thought recovered fell to his old-age illness again. His bony body was worrying and the sick parents brought him to the vet a few days before and had an x-ray whats-not and the doctor was worried.

""try this first,,... try that first...."

and we are trying this and that medicine to see if he starts eating and be active again.

Weekend@ Johor & Early Father's Day celebration

We went in to Johor with my parents and tall Ben for the package massage.
3 hrs for MYR128, 2 hours on body and 1 hour foot reflexology.

the Package had herbal warm pad soothing, including the BOWL THAT SKINS you alive and live hands massage and ....

you can add additional stuff if you need, but it was enough.
We added the ear candling for MYR30.

TO ME, it was superb good.

After the massage, everyone felt so light and relax loosen!

Gee, if i have additional cash to spare, i loved to go every week!

for our daddy's day, early makan to avoid the

crowd next week.

Yup, we had my parents, Aunty Kim & Aunty Chia

including Uncle Steven & Aunty Doris.

Uncle Steven brought Whisky for dinner also,

so we had to continue the drinking over at his house.

This drinking session on a sunday with my family.

the brotherhood that brought them closer only these few years.

Last night, they realised that they are old and that a few

years left ahead in life, and they are happy that in the recent

years, we had grown closer just like this night,

we spend our time drinking and fellowshiping together.
