The Best I Could

Subhas Anandan

I’ve been recently engaged in reading “The Best I could do” by Subhas Anandan that was recently published. Also it was darling AK that told me to get it the moment the book was released and I did, and I took to read first before the main owner did.

And it inspired me so. The fact that he wasn’t born a silver spoon, the fact that he struggled so very much more than I thought, the fact that he was imprison in Singapore yet he came out a great lawyer…. All because he went for what he knows what he wants, with all his determination to do the best that he could for anyone, the fact that he despite noone.

Subhas wrote about his life right from the beginning as a student how he was bullied how poorish he began, how teachers brought him to life and how some despise him, and it was interesting about his student life, because it made me think back of my past and you start to recall the adults that treated you poorly… and I did thought back, tons of it. With giggles.

I supposed it was his life his struggles and that he went through stormy days that brought him to where he is. That everyone should deserve a proper trial.

Some chapters of his cases and his life in prison (framed by police and he made no qualms in mentioning it) were cut at some point, making readers wanting to read on more I guess… but I guess that is about the most he could write.

It also feature his 15 criminal cases that he dealt with, Huang Na with Ah took, the 1 eye dragon and the worst criminals he faced. He did!

Yes readers wished he wrote more. He is a good writer, that he brings you into his life into his story...and you feel it, simple and yet interesting and inspiring.

Its a good book!

HE will make a way,

where there seems to be no way,
HE works in ways we cannot see
HE will make a way for me,..

HE will be my guide
where there seems to be no way
...
...
...

Something a little unpleasant recently occurred in the home of mine, I guess the wound is hard to heal yet for my mother, so I leave the wound be fully stitched!

We might almost feel the feelings she had these days.

Somehow, when one member of the family is down, the whole family felt it.
Even aunty kim was so sweet to have dinner with us in YISHUN yesterday..

Maybe GOD has something better in store? Sometimes, things might seemed hopeless and the end of the story, but at the corner of a sharp bend, comes surprises, a new beginning and sometimes, better than what you expected.

Afterall, God is in control. Will your parents allow their kids to weep in pain and anguish!
So I’m sure He has better plans for her.
Cheery!

Family such an important element groupie!

Our different perspective

You won’t believe it! Its almost the weekend again, blink of the eye. Either the time was to easy to pass by or its really alright.

With my blink of my EYE, its already Thursday!

Gosh.
When just when I wanted it to go slower, the time passes so quickly.
Its weird how things perceive differently when our mind worked differently!

Surfing the shore

And things always seemed to go a different direction no matter no hard you tried to push your boat towards your direction you desire.
So much as such, after resisting the waves the wind directional flow, I guess tiredness felt.

And prayers never seemed to have effected on me, even when I was young. NO matter what I requested, begged or plea with GOD, it seems, my prayers were never answered.
Or it is because what I desire is not what the Father desire.
People said, pray about it, pray about it,
It never materialized on me.

i asked for a changed in me instead, yet the wind got stronger at times, making me helpless and in the end, went along with the flow of the wind.

So I left to sleep and drift along the waves and wind, to bring me to ashore, hopefully one day, ashore, for I have stopped resisting.

Surf, surf, surf, ….

Rain Drops

getting a different Monday feeling of waking up and not rushing to the train station.

I just awoke to a raining day, the weather is cooling and water beating on the outside ground.
The sky definately looks darken, on a Monday afternoon.
Yup, am i glad i was resting and lazing lazingly at home.

then the AK is still asleep. We had a late nightly!

Fact: Tell what your favorite thing to do when it rains .....

staying home is always the favourite listening to the sounds of the rains maken, breathing into the fresh air (i would not think its fresh these days) and feeling cool especially on a heavy rainy day.

maybe its the cool feeling that the weather gives so you tense to feel better and cooler.

S$10 to survive for a week

Last night I was watching the 10pm news at 8.
This family with 3 kids a total of 5 ( I think) could survive on mere exact S$10 for 3 days by recycling their soup, making it last for 3 days.
they were the poor income family with only 1 income of less than S$1K per month.

S$10 could hardly survive on a meal for the AK and I sometimes, with the food and rice increase and plus drinks.

Well, then I was just thinking, I could survive alone on S$10 for 3 days on my meals and transport, possibility so I could save more money.
Of course I should, money is hard to come by these days.

How would a S$10 survive on you?

Salted Duck

Its almost the mid of the year and it's the school holidays. Today the train cabins were rather empty than usual, as in not sardine jam packed in the tin.
I supposed Daddy Mummies are bringing their kids out holidaying, or accompanying their babies …

So today is the Dry run in the destiny in the office. I was just noting the June calendar and seemingly, it seemed dry as well. Dry, no PH, no leave nothing. A total of 30 solid days with 21 working days. So June is dry for me.

Not forgetting, having bought the char tao kuay last noon, the AK bought the newly receipe WHITE STEAMY SALTED DUCK in Leban and we had it for dinner with porridge with the parents.

The duck was fragranced done, with special sweet sauce, well-ly deliciously done.
Its tasty! Nice choice!

Ambulances

This morning road seen tons of emergencies ambulances. At least 6 of them, the AK and I counted.
I wonder why the huge demand this morning, somewhere in the homes of an elderly folk is sick or had an injury or any human in any sense.
Surely, they must be suffering.

Father & Daughter Story

Its weird coming back to work on Friday thinking it's a Monday because last yesterday was too relaxing.

The Episode last night on
香港奇案实录, Hong Kong Criminal Files really got into my feelings.

The Father , turned Gambler, murdered his precious daughter, and chopped her head. The love of the daughter override the hatred for the father’s killing, even so little, that she took the trouble, in her spirit to persuade her father, to turn into a new left by following him in the days of his hiding. She brought tears to him, reminding him of their good times and how the father had loved the family once upon a time.
……..
And of course, the beef noodle story.
………

Supernaturally, some things are hard to explain yet true.

Ever wonder:-

How often do you play the “if only” game?

· If only I had it to do over.

· If only I had listened sooner.

· If only I could erase the past.

· If only I could forgive myself.

Because no one is perfect, we all have regrets. We’ve all made bad choices, said foolish things, wasted time, and hurt ourselves and others.

How do you release those regrets?

True Relationship

What seems like an incident caught my attention to these words

It is good and we need people who are close to us to tell us our flaws and mistakes in order that we will then be more mindful. Without, we may keep repeating without realizing, and for all you know, we may not even realize people are keeping away from us.

Yeah isnt’ it so true, true relationships are humans to mind us and not leave us alone to rot.
I guess but humans are such weird beings, hard to accept.

Colourful CHICKS

These chicks are cute !

I found these chicks photos in our office folder 2003 trip in BALI, one of the excursion the company had during the day in one of the Kampong!

Good for a Friday photo look. Makes you feel colourful and that life is actually can be quite a rainbow. And on a Friday, you just need to feel colourful brighter and hip up because its the weekend.

And THIS RELAX weekend means
- more time with my Family and the AK!
- Means getting up late and having later nights than weekdays'
- means lazing around with the AK in the house doing nothing or something
- Means getting to dinner together with the whole family
- talking more cocks in 156 maybe

When when i trampled upon this photo going through the folders, that was my first feeling thought, colourful and cheerful! so i thought of cheerful things!

what was your thoughts when you first saw this picture?

The thought of the day

Give yourself to others –

If you will begin giving yourself to others,
sharing what things you do have,
sharing your time and your talents,
you will find yourself learning to be content.
Helping others will give you an appreciation for what you have and who you are but, more importantly, you will find yourself growing in contentment.
Why?
Because God designed us to serve and share with others and until we do that, we will feel great discontent.
