The KIAM show

Last evening over at golden village, Darling AK Yeng and I watched the Hot Summer dayz, all because it was starring Jacky Cheung.
Its like a Cinderella movie to me, like a mother telling her daughter a fantasy story.

It was HOT, you could see every scene everyone was KIAM and perspiring MADLY. Nobody has no sweat on them .
KIAM!

'Special dining' TV commercial

have you seen the standard chartered commercial recently

""""""""Oh I got a bad feeling about this. """""""""

""""""""Hurry, try to look BONY!"""""

i didnt realised that people would also complain about this commercial,

come to think of it, yes, one would feel pitiful for the fishes.

one person wrote: -

'Special dining' TV commercial in bad taste
I REFER to the rather frequent TV commercial by Standard Chartered Visa,

promoting its 'special dining offer'. It is in bad taste, to say the least.

Eating a fish in captivity is perhaps the right thing to do, but showing it in its

helpless and hopeless state makes my stomach turn.

And what does the image of an innocent young child staring at a living thing about to be slaughtered suggest?

My nine-year-old child feels sad each time he sees the advertisement, asking:

'The fish is so cute, can we save him?'

Now I quickly change channels each time this video clip appears.

"Moment of truth"

Beer doesn’t work very well on me these times recently. I get tired on beer and high so easily with just a few mugs of beer.

Gee I think I’ll stick to my whisky or martell.

Recently we watch the reality game show “moment of truth” every Wednesday at night.

Its like “dun forget the lyrics” but this was to speak the truth about yourself!

Lie detector machine was attached to the player’s heart and questions would be posed to the person. If the person answered truthfully, he would climb up until S$500,000. There are different stages & level. Each level has a set of question. The higher you go, the more personal the questions were. one question answered not truthfully gets you eliminated.

The last week’s episode had this young male player who brought his girlfriend, mother father and sister.

And some of the questions asked were so personal that the girlfriend got pretty upset in the end, we think.

Questions to the male player :-

“did you have sex with more than 100 woman”
yes
“do you intend to have kids with your girlfriend?”
no
“do you think you would ever be unfaithful to your girlfriend”
Yes

The girlfriend got pretty upset after that.

Then I was wondering back in my mind what happened to this young couple after the “Moment of truth”

The latest movies we watched

HAUNDAE

Tsunami waves from the movie were quite real, i can imagine the large

metres of water pounding on me then at some scenes it was quite fake,

the men seems to be supposely drowning in the deep waters that were

trying to sank them but it was obviously their legs were walking as the

water pretend to carry them off. tsk tsk.

at least they tried to produce a movie on the MEGA TSUNAMI.

The Haunting in Conneticut

Everyone is trying to be skeptical about the "BASED on a true story"

before the start of the movie and some skeptics were trying hard to

put Carmen Reed down by rebutting the truth of her story in the house,

then again, there is always people like that, just refusing to believe

in things till they experience themselves.

Carmen Reed the mother of the son who had cancer.

The Story:

In 1986 Carmen and Al Snedeker moved to the small town of Southington,

Connecticut, with the purpose of being closer to the hospital at which their

oldest son was being treated for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Having

fallen on hard financial times, the family jumped at the chance to rent

what appeared to be the perfect house. It was large enough

for their family, which included three children and a cousin,

and the rent was in their affordable price range.

It was while they were moving in that Al made a startling discovery:

In the basement was a peculiar room that was complete

with embalming tables and tools.

The house, it turned out, used to be a funeral home.

Moreover, the basement, which was sectioned into several rooms,

was the only room deemed large enough to serve as the two boys' bedroom.....

Where got GHOST?

When we went to get some cartridges from Northpoint, we went to grab 4 tickets at Golden village for the "Where got Ghost?" for the evening movie with my parents.

NOPE not scary. NOT scary at all, but it was quite alright for a local production though.
Just the laughs and not racking our brains on a Saturday evening before dinner.

Little Effort

The recent japanese advertisement on television

Promoting their SOYJOY health nutritious bars.

But it was so hilarious the way the jap girl screamed

Doing lots of exercise is :

“” MUCH EFFORT!”””

Eating soyjoy is

“”LITTLE EFFORT!””

So it became our quote of the month!

Extract:

When you’re on the go, nutrition can take a back seat to convenience.

Good thing SOYJOY® bars are both healthy and handy and packed with

the right kind of energy. Whole soy, real fruit and four grams of protein.

Plus SOYJOY® bars are portion controlled, free of trans fat,

and they won’t melt!

So stash an all-natural SOYJOY® in your car or gym bag

and be sure that the food you’re eating on the run is really that: real food

what happened to Little Nonya

To think that TCS wanted to react (to reassure the viewers that CHen Xi and Yueniang still have "heart" for each other forever)

Please

the re-act 3min on air was redundant.......................

terribly unneccessary
uncalled for
& waste of time

is our life always in perfection?
is our life always in place of what we want?
always in perfect puzzle.

this is seriously dumb. I thought the show ended alright enough, why have another last episode?

Those parts that is a question mark to us , just leave it alone lor, let our imagination build our own stories isnt it,

which is always what happened in most movies isn't it?

instead

they had to react for 3 stupid uncalled for minutes.

JUST TO SAY " we still loved each other a lot..."

goodness.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and again, to make matters worst, viewers found it more ridiculous and complained ever lagi more.

This time, more eggies were thrown.

And to make the situation LAGI worst, last evening newspaper said that it MIGHT want to RE-REACT another last episode half hour to close the gap of viewers and untold parts.

I thought ending was good enough...and they are making it worst!

I can't wait to see them making more mess!

Cheers! what a joke!

Finale 'The Little Nyonya'

AND we rushed home to catch the finale of the show at 8pm.
Of course, we been watching it faithfully every other nights showing because it made US SOSOSO so addicted to the storyline.

tell me who acted the best?
Did Yueniang perform extradionary acting or the Bad mother-in-law or the Mad girl.
Or charlie zhang or Robert Zhang or Chen XI?

WHO DID A GOOD ACTING ACTING as in REAL ACTING!! pantun? UNCLE SHENG maybe? He very comical always Pantun Pantun. Very cute character.

PANTUN PANTUN HERE I COME!

kan cheong, everyone is talking about it. watching and going back early just to catch every EVERY episode.
The whole show was good actually, quite a good storyline.

For US who watch the episodes nightly, now that it has ended,
Feel like the night has gone empty, do you feel that there is nothing in the night on TV to
look forward to..

i don't know but i DEFINATELY do! and I am sure many thousands and
thousands have learnt tons in this Nonya and Baba life....

We watched 2 Movies in both weekends.

I don’t know why the usb connected to the computer here isn’t loading the pictures in.
Its damn because I was hopping to load some pictures in my busy moment to distress especially during the luncheon time.

So I guess I would have to do it at home.
Hopefully the bed doesn’t drag me to lay on it when I reached the room…

Apart from cheonging at Si-bai Sibai on Friday after the darling AK’s cousin wedding at Holiday Inn, (to post later)

We did nothing practically over at the weekend.
While Mummy is trying to rest over in her medical leave for 2 over weeks at home, the television set in her room chosen to break down and go COLD and blackie on her and Daddy.

Imagine,
A blank screen in your bedroom when you depend on it, during your relaxation to tame you to sleep, to distress your mind and boredom, even when you don’t actually watch the programmes, having the television on is a must, accompanying you when you are in the room…. or just listening to the news over the television....

So
Screaming “bored”, bored and bored apart from sleeping, the parents requested to watch movies at Yishun 10 ....

and we did for 2 days

For 2 days, we went to Yishun 10 and Northpoint to have our dinner cum watch movie movie.

We went northpoint had the northern Indian food, Mummy ? nothing nibble of little rice and steam beef!
And we shopped around little and wow, caught hold of a japaneses FOOD COURT over at the new NORTHPOINT!

It cute. So typical of Japanese style, the food court sells all Japanese food.

Quarantine.

I’m okay with the movie, realistic and a little fearing over the rabbis infected people.
All started from a cult type of people using the rabbies in doggies to powered up the rabbies and to spread it rapidly faster than normal;

I WOULD BE very terrified in a quarantine house full of infected rabbies people.

The next day, again, we went to the NEW northpoint this time to have the JAPANESE food the JAPANESE food court.
IT WAS ok not too bad, cheap and you get all kinds of Japanese food.
Don’t expect something super fantastic, after all, it’s a food court but I think I liked the environment!

Body of lies

From the start until now, I still have no clue what the ongoing movie was talkinga bout except little clues of maybe some undercover or CIDs trying to uncover terriorist activites.
But the main story… I don’t know

The Coffin

Some believed the ritual of Thais,
went to AMK hub with the AUntie Kim and my parents and Darling AK on Saturday evening.
Then of course they had all the scary parts which Auntie Kim didnt dare open her eyes.
It wasn't much scarely then, it was more the movie sound effect that make you jump.
Sleeping in the coffin... getting a new life riding of your bad karma and death..

Connected

Speedy speedy movie, makes you kan cheong then its quite preditable also, then also, we wanted the good guy to survive.

Chay.

the darlin AK and I had beef noodles over at the AMK hub before the show on Wednesday.

seriously i never thought of any better food court. ALL the FOOD"S lousy like this morning I was complaining to Adeline about the food here in SUNTEC!

ALL FOOD COURT all over, suntec, millenium but
NONE Of the food you would ever think about it., you would never in your hunger pang make a craving...

not like the way I CRAVED for Hong Lim Char Kuay Tiao, Wan Tan Mee or Philip street Fish soup Noodle blah blah blah.....

No way, so far never did i like a FOOD COURT food.
its the enviroment of the food court or is it really the food?

Maybe i prefer non-aircon authetic type of place. ....

4Bia is linked!

Did you know for those who had watched the movie that the
4 stories are somehow linked together:

"While the 4 stories above appear to be isolated, the chronology of the events are: a) Story 3 ("In the Middle"). One of the teenagers' name is Ter. b) Story 4 ("Last Fright"). Ter is mentioned as the brother of Pim's colleague and fellow stewardess, Tui (not seen in movie) who could not accompany the flight as her brother had drowned. c) Story 1 ("Happiness"). The girl with the broken leg is seen reading the online news about the Princess's death. d) Story 2 ("Tit for Tat"). The image we see of the curse is the image of the girl with the broken leg who had died with her eyes open.""

I’m Feeling: Joint

4Bia

I might have gotten the creepy part tensing my tension until i had a slight headache, gaga! i had a few scenes hiding in the AK's..

but the movie was not too bad, 4 different tales.
just like incredible tales!

the last story was the most scary, having to fly in an airplane with a dead body and that's it.
No where to run noone to seek help!
JUST you and the dead body!
