Trying to save time during lunch time

Because I was on duty, the ladies waited for me for luncheon which we initially wanted fish soup noodle.
No empty tables were available so thought to save time by not waiting, we went next door to check out the vacancy of Bak Kut Teh!

Instead, every table were not available.

Then Agnes been craving “rabbit’ restaurant appealed to everyone right opposite us and we proceeded to grab a dirty mess up table left over by the previous tenant on the 2nd floor.

“rabbit” restaurant sold set lunches, like Buddha jump over the wall, abalone, fish maw shark fins… and some other “”exotic”” food, at reasonable prices. Set ranges from $5.50 onwards ….

The wait took longer than expected. The food came almost half an hour later, worst than what we thought we could save time.

I had a hor fun with fish maw shreaded chicken and 3 shreads of shark fins ( I think).. it was nice hor fun but the soup was not very good. It was full of starch.
What to expect with reasonable prices for the workers in town.

Wee had the good makan though, scrambled egg with fish maw and shark fins and definitely was better than anyone of ours.

We came back late! needless to say.........
