why can't we speak our English we want as we were brought up.

The last few nights was hit with the coffeeshop beer syndrome that left us so tired! Even daddy joined us last night and bet he is just as shag!
Me just had a duck leg near the OUB centre with the group and today’s makan wasn’t as fantastic as we expected.

On the language note, as Singaporean’s, shouldn’t we just have the freedom to speak Singlish at times? In any case, we are still Singaporeans. What wrong with the English we speak?
Just like the HOngkongers or China-gers, have a tone to their English to differentiate us?
And really I don’t understand the logic of why we are being told off or despise because we ain’t speaking the English that the foreigner expects us to be speaking in his expectations?
