You know Lunar New year is approaching when:-
- The queue is especially long today at the “BaK” Kua” store at Hong Lim
(so early yet the queue is surprisingly long)
- when the noon sun is scorching hot burning your skin even a short walk to Hong Lim from Office
- when Hong Lim Hawker is especially crowded at 1145AM
- the decorations from Chinatown to Hong Lim is VERY lunar and RED and PINK

- you hear Lunar new year songs at Hong Lim and over at 933FM that makes your tiniest hair jumped
- where red is unavoidable seen through paper bags and shops around.
- Banks have a long queue during lunch time and aunties that exit have arms covered with heavy bags and envelops….

hmmm i duno about you but chinese new years songs and decorations doesn't work well for me. Esp the weather. SIGH!
